A bend in the river

The river was always close by
One needed only the wish for the water and it was there
The wonderful feeling of the flow
To swim against the current and still
to remain in the same spot
All moving and nothing moved
The hot dry weather and the fresh wet water
all in the same glimpse of space and time
A sort of eternity
Like in the Naipaul book
A turmoil of change and the same river though

Peace of mind

Summer is over. Best days were along the Elbe, the peace of mind of pedaling towards the next town, following the flow of the river. Then the well deserved beer and the plentiful dinner, with a view like this in Hitzacker.

A variation of the FD (Fine Design) 4,1,1,0,0,0 camera set. A sort of signature for my photos for this season. The picture is from my last photo session, an original first 4,2,1,0,1,0.

The surroundings of SS

After weeks circumscribed to the four streets around the house I started a discovery adventure with my old bike. Towns around San Sebastian that before barely were more than names on a map or a sign post.  Hernani, Urnieta, Andoain, Lasarte, Zubieta, Usurbil, Aginaga, Astigarraga, Pasajes, Lezo. All of them now part of the adventure of discovery. Even Nico came one day along the Oria river, corn and apple trees on the meadows.

Life to Life

Since I started Pencil&Box in 2010 I have had two new jobs, thrilling moments and bad ones too, and an attempt in a venture with friends - only the friends to be kept finally, not a bad thing at all. In retrospect that was to be my last professional try. I am sixty already, just. And like the name of the last failed go, it has been a Life to Life try on dreaming and survival, good that it ended, proud to have lived it, ja, I know I could have made more and better, I did my best. So the time has arrived to become a professional artist and photographer :-)
